Although the YMCA organization was born over 150 years ago as the “Young Men’s Christian Association,” today, half of the Y members and female and half are over the age of 18. The mission of the Y is based on Christian principles shared by all faiths and practiced each day in Y’s across the united States.

The YMCA of Greater Williamson County puts Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirits, minds and bodies for all. They are dedicated to helping children reach adulthood equipped for the future, providing families with adequate childcare and recreational activities, and helping communities stay together to build a safer and healthier environment.

The Y focuses on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The YMCA believes that the strength of their children, families and communities are vital for the future. For this reason, every program they offer is focused on fulfilling the specific needs of the communities they serve.
